Our angle sensors are able to measure the inclination on 1 or 2 axes respect to the horizontal plane. For each version, there may be several applications in automotive and industrial field: measurement of mechanical boom slope, dual-axes control, planarity check, leveling systems.
Our main solutions for the measurement of the slope on 1 axis are:
– FSI-AN version: analogue, with 4-20mA current output, available with different working angles.
– FSI-DD version: with 2 on-off programmable outputs and available with different working angles.
- FSI-CAN inclination sensor, with CAN bus outputs, measures the slope angle by means of an integrated sensor with accelerometer. It works on one single axis. The measurement range is 360°.
- FSAR-AN double angle transducer has 4-20mA current outputs. It is called “double” as it is formed by 2 completely independent sensors. Similarly to our other FSI versions, this redundant device works always on only one axis (the 2 outputs refer to same measure, on same axis “X”). The standard working angle is +/-60°, but it can be programmed depending on the requirements.
Our main solutions for the measurement of the planarity / inclination on two axes are instead:
- FIP-C dual axis inclination sensor allows to measure the angle according 2 axes respect to the horizontal plane. The tilt measuring is based on an integrated accelerometer sensor. Measurement range is between +/-45°. Similarly to our FSI-CAN one-axis version, the read value is transmitted via CAN bus.
- FIP-M planarity sensor is a digital device able to report through an on-off output and a status led, the overcoming of the inclination on 4 independent semi-axes. All four thresholds are independently programmable by connecting the device to a PC with our serial interface adapter. Furthermore, there are two on-off outputs available whose thresholds can be programmed in an independent way.
- FIPR-C is a CAN bus redundant biaxial inclinometer based on an integrated accelerometer.
Thanks to the redundancy of measurement and specific hardware and software filters able to avoid vibration-related interferences, this inclination sensor can be used as a safety device. Typical applications for it are consequently aerial platforms, telehandlers, cranes and pile driver machines.
Like our FIP-C sensors, CAN bus messages are compatible with CAN 2.0b and CANopen protocols. Each FIPR-C biaxial inclination sensor is equipped with a bubble level to verify the inclination of the sensor with respect to the horizontal plane.
